Privacy & safety

Motion stays local. Controls stay visible.

MotionX processes the camera feed on the device to recognize movement. Camera video is not uploaded to the cloud.

Privacy at a glance

Three facts to understand first.

The camera sees movement

The live camera feed is used to identify player movement needed by the active game.

Motion inference is on-device

Movement recognition happens on the MotionX hardware rather than uploading the camera feed for cloud processing.

Camera video is not uploaded

The camera’s video feed does not leave the device as part of motion recognition.

What happens to the camera feed

A local motion-processing path.

This consumer diagram explains the intended data path without implying that no other device or account data is transmitted.

Camera feed

Players move within the camera view during a game.

On-device inference

MotionX recognizes body movement locally and creates game input.

Game response

The game reacts. Camera video is not uploaded to the cloud.

Physical camera cover

A control you can see.

Close the physical cover when the camera is not needed. Reopen it before motion play and confirm the player is visible on screen.

  • Built into the device.
  • Operated physically, not hidden in a software menu.
  • Easy for parents and other household members to verify.

Device, account and gameplay data

Video processing is only one part of privacy.

MotionX may transmit operational data needed to manage the device, software, entitlements and service. This is separate from camera video.

Device

Device model and identifiers needed for service, compatibility and entitlement management.

Software

Firmware and game versions used to deliver updates and diagnose compatibility.

Gameplay use

Game-use events may be transmitted to understand product operation and content use.

Account & orders

Account, entitlement and transaction data are handled through the applicable service and store systems.

The final field-by-field data inventory, purpose, retention period and deletion process must match the published Privacy Policy before launch. Until then, this page avoids “no personal data” or “100% private” claims.

Why an account is required

To connect the device, content rights and game data.

Device access

Associate the MotionX hardware with the account used during setup and support.

Entitlements

Confirm the included library and any optional content connected to the device or account.

Updates & game data

Deliver current software and support game-use data needed by the product experience.

Children and safe play

Privacy and physical safety both need adult attention.

For parents and guardians

  • Complete account and network setup for children.
  • Review the current Privacy Policy and regional child-data terms.
  • Close the camera cover when the camera is not needed.
  • Contact support with privacy or account questions.

For a safer play area

  • Remove furniture, fragile objects, pets and trip hazards.
  • Give every player enough room to reach, turn and jump.
  • Use even room lighting and keep the camera view clear.
  • Choose age-appropriate movement and take breaks.
