A shared game is a chance to spend time together. Start with an activity both siblings want to try and agree on simple rules before the first round.
Choose together
Offer two or three suitable activities instead of assuming the same game suits every child. Consider each player’s age, interests, movement comfort and the space available. Allow someone to watch or pause.
Make turns clear
Agree on a short turn or round, then swap roles. One player can lead while the other follows; next time, reverse the roles. For a game with a shared objective, describe what the team is trying to do together.
Try these cooperative activities
- Mirror partners: copy comfortable movements and take turns leading.
- Build a sequence: add one simple movement each and practise the pattern together.
- Team rhythm: match a beat at an agreed pace.
- A supported multiplayer game: check the MotionX title’s player count and mode before starting. The catalog offers multiplayer options; selected titles support up to four players.
Keep play flexible
Focus on clear instructions, fair turns and shared enjoyment. Pause if players become uncomfortable or disagree, then choose a different activity or end the session. A game does not need to be competitive to be enjoyable.
Before starting MotionX
Use a clear, well-lit area with enough room for every player. Model KMX-001 has a recommended player distance of around 1.5–3 m; allow enough width for the movements as well. Children need adult guidance. A compatible console and account are required; check each title’s availability and access requirements.
