Why an account and internet are part of setup.
Yes. Your account connects the device to its included games, downloads and update history.
Internet is required for initial setup, sign-in, downloads, firmware and game updates. Connect to get the latest games and use online features.
Most installed games can be played offline after initial setup and required updates. Connect to get the latest games, updates and online features.
Check the network connection and account email and password, restart the device, and retry. If the issue continues, record the on-screen error and contact support.
Updates & downloads
Keep the system current without losing the context.
Before updating
Use a stable internet connection and keep MotionX connected to power.
If an update pauses
Reconnect to the network, restart only if prompted, and retry the download.
After updating
Open the game library and check that the update completed successfully.
Motion tracking
Improve motion tracking with a few quick checks.
- Open the physical camera cover.
- Use 1.5–3 m for best tracking; up to 5 m is supported with a clear, well-lit full-body camera view.
- Use a camera height of 60–100 cm whenever possible.
- Below 40 cm, use the stand and angle the camera upward; above 120 cm, use the stand and angle it downward.
- Make sure the entire player is in the camera view.
- Use even room lighting and avoid strong backlight.
- Remove furniture, people or objects blocking the camera.
- Follow the movement cue shown by the selected game.
