Start with the space and the people taking part. Choose movements that fit the room, clear obstacles and leave room around every player. A small room does not automatically suit jumping or wide arm movements.
Ten ways to share an active break
- Move and freeze. Take gentle steps, then pause on a signal.
- Mirror a leader. Copy a partner’s comfortable movements and swap roles.
- Reach and point. Call out a direction and reach within a clear area.
- March to a beat. Match a rhythm at a pace everyone can follow.
- Colour calls. Point to a colour in the room without racing toward furniture.
- Slow-motion challenge. Try a movement slowly and see how well a partner can copy it.
- Team directions. Follow a short sequence of left, right, up and pause.
- Make a movement pattern. Take turns adding a simple action to a sequence.
- Celebrate together. Create a short team celebration with movements that fit the room.
- Choose a MotionX game. Check the title’s player count, instructions and access requirements, then try an available level together.
Check the room before using MotionX
For Model KMX-001, the recommended player distance is around 1.5–3 m, with the camera preferably 60–100 cm above the floor. Width and movement clearance matter too. Clear the floor and nearby obstacles, check lighting and give children adult guidance. Adjust the activity or stop when the space or a player’s comfort requires it.
Understand the games included
